biography, Saxophones, flute, clarinet, composition
Lessons with / student of Lee Konitz, Detlef Bensmann ( classical saxophone ) and Walter Norris. Workshops/clinics amongst others with Steve Lacy, Albert Mangelsdorff, Dave Liebman, Dave Friedman.
Earlier bands: “Sirones Unity Ensemble”, Kenny Martin “Licence To Thrill”, “Fun Horns”, “Paul Brody Octet” ( CD: Turtle Talk ) and many others.
Studio- and theater projects in Berlin : “Grips theater” ( Indian tournee with “Linie 1” ), Varietes: “Wintergarten, “Palazzo”. Guest solo saxophonist of the “Capitol Dance Orchestra” accompanie the “Brecht -Weil” project of the “Pina Bausch Dance Company”.
Current projects: “Anatolian Jazz Orchestra” ( CD: “Zeytin Agaci” ), Alexander Wienand (piano) Quartet, Corinna Reich ( voc) band ( CDs: “Between Love And Loss” , “Constant Calibration” ).
Own bands / projects: Quartet “Jazz, a fine thing” – originals by Jörg Miegel, guests: Sahrin Rezai (voc), James Scannell (sax) – CD release may /june 2022
