Songs from the livingroom
Michael Evdemon, a jazz musician, is known for his remarkable contributions to the music scene. Born in Athens, Greece, he has been a session musician and worked with many Greek singers, songwriters, and artists. His musical journey has seen him perform throughout Greece and the U.S., and also perform in theaters in Istanbul, UK, Cyprus and all around Europe. He is a teacher at the Lab Music Education of Athens and the author of 4 books regarding bass and general music education.
Evdemon has participated in clinics from renowned musicians like Tom Kenedy, Victor Wooten, Mike Stern, and Billy Sheehan. His collaborations include Yiannis Papadopoulos, Alex Foster, Brice Wassy, Tony Royster Jr, Gergo Borlai, Virgil Donati, Ralf Gottlieb, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, MILO Z, Bodek Janke, Kristian Randalu, George Kollias, Derek Roddy, Lee Anduze, Barbara Martinez, Andreas Arnold, Engin Kaan Gunaydin, Eric Moore, Dave DiCenso and many others. He has toured extensively and has been a part of numerous jazz bands, writing music for and performing in most of the jazz festivals in Greece.
His personal project, “Good Demons,” released in 2014, features Vasilis Kalistristris on drums, Vaggelis Paraskevaidis on vibes and percussion, and Evdemon on electric bass and composing the whole material. The album also features four amazing guitar players: Vasso Dimitriou, George Stavroulakis, Thodoris kotsifas, and Irene Ketikidi. Other projects that he wrote music for are O3 Jazz trio, SEV jaz trio and Royal Time Machine a progressive rock trio.
 
Faye Karastergiou is a well known singer in Greece mainly for her participation in nummerous Funk, Soul, Rock and Pop bands. She teaches vocals at Lab Music Education in Athens.
She studied conteporary singing, theory & harmony at Filippos Nakas Conservatory and got her certificate with distinction. At the end of her studies, she continued her education as well as her knowledge in the wonders of the voice, until today.
Some of them:
• 2024 Estill Voice Training.
• 2022 / 2023 – Integrated Voice Therapy for singers, Levels I & II.
• 2022 – Seminar for the professional voice, ARTience Voice Weekend Athens by phonoQuest.
She has delve deeply in mastering the knowledge of the voice and provides educational seminars regarding the art of singing. She has participated in 3 Drum Camps where she held the jam sessions with drummers such as Chris Coleman, Derek Roddy, Wictoria Bialic, Eric Moore, Dave Vicenco and many more.
Her first EP was released in 2017 with the funk, neo-soul band Bloobery J. with the title Floating. Her latest project is with the funk band Greasy Astronuts playing around Greece in festivals and jazz clubs.
 
Michael and Fay colaborate in a duo where they blend Bach, Jazz and good songwriting. They arrange songs for bass and voice writen from artists such us Sting, Tedeschi and Trucks, Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Tears for Fears, Sia, Kate Bush, Yeba, Eric Clapton and many more. They also compose their original material and will present new songs for the first time at Vlatos.
