O Kwarteto: jazzy Brazilian strings from Spain

O Kwarteto is a NYC- and Madrid-based female string quartet primarily dedicated to Brazilian music with jazz influence adapted to our instrumentation. O Kwarteto performs original arrangements of music from genres ranging from Samba and Forro (Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Sivuca) to Chorinho (Jacob do Bandolim, Pixinguinha), MPB (Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento, Dorival Caymmi) and Bossa Nova (Antonio Carlos Jobim).

Ariacne Trujillo: music from Cuba

Grammy nominee Ariacne Trujillo Duran was born in Havana, Cuba. She began her career as a child prodigy. Blessed with perfect pitch, she’s had an extensive career as a concert pianist and composer. She achieved Master prizes and Special Mentions in national and international Cuban competitions and performed at the country’s top theaters and halls.

Bárbara Martínez: jazz and flamenco from New York

Bárbara Martínez a professional vocalist and dancer who was raised and based in New York City. She leads two solo projects, one is a latin jazz/flamenco program that began with a sold-out evening at Carnegie Weill Hall twelve years ago and which can be seen frequently in jazz venues and festivals.

Spiral Trio: modern jazz piano

With their experience in national and international scenes Spiral Trio have formed a clearly distinguished and recognizable sound as a group and as individuals. Their sound is characterized by the constant interplay which, in combination with the high level of their musical and improvisation skills bring to the music elements of surprise, variety in the creation of musical images and imagination in the narration.
