    Giorgos Limakis and Lefteris Papadakis are two remarkable figures in the world of music, with a deep-seated passion for jazz and a commitment to their craft that has seen them perform across the globe.

    Giorgos Limakis, born in Chania, Crete, began his musical journey at the tender age of five, studying the guitar under the guidance of his father. His dedication to music led him to the Bach Conservatory, where he graduated with a classical guitar and music theory diploma. He then moved to London to further his studies at Middlesex University, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2004 and a master’s degree in 2005.

    Limakis has collaborated with a plethora of musicians and composers, including Stavros Xarhakos, Eleni Karaindrou, and Yiotis Kiourtsoglou. He has also worked with renowned singers such as Charis Alexiou, Dimitra Galani, and Marios Fragkoulis. His musical journey has taken him to various groups, including Traveling Light and Oceania, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as a musician.

    Lefteris Papadakis, on the other hand, is a native of Chania, Greece. He started his musical journey on keyboards before switching to bass at the age of seventeen. His passion for music led him to Athens, where he enrolled in the Jazz department of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, later moving to the Conservatoire de Lausanne HEMU and Berklee College of Music in the United States.

    Papadakis has performed extensively across the world, including appearances at prestigious events like the Montreux Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Festival, and Cully Jazz Festival. He has also had the privilege of working with acclaimed musicians such as two-time Grammy winner Jay Graydon, Jimmy Haslip, and Michael Landau.

    Together, Limakis and Papadakis form a dynamic duo, their combined talents creating a unique blend of traditional and modern jazz.     Sakis Tsinoukas, a duet with two guitars

    Tsakis Tsinoukas

    Born in Aigio-Greece (1978) and based in Athens, Sakis Tsinoukas studied classical guitar and piano since the age of 9. As a teenager he taught himself electric guitar and worked as a professional musician in genres ranging from blues and rock to Greek traditional and folk music. In 2005 he got accepted to the Codarts Conservatorium in Rotterdam (NL) where he graduated from the jazz department.

    During his studies he took lessons by Ed Verhoeff, Paul Hock, Ronald Schmitz, Ben de Bruijn, Kris Goessens, took private lessons with Ben Monder and followed masterclasses by John Scofield, John Abercrombie, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jesse Van Ruller, Philip Catherine, Miguel Zenon, Van Iterson, Toots Thielemans, Frank Wingold, Barry Harris a.o. He has performed live in Greece and in Europe (Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Finland, U.K.) both as a leader and as a member of various projects.

    He has released two albums under his own quartet (“In Between” ANKH 2014 and “The Great Orange Tip” to be released) and two as a band member (“Dog Beat” by Dog Beat 2016 and “Prosac Youth” by Numea 2019). Having collaborated with most musicians of the Greek jazz scene, he is a member of avant garde composer’s Kyriakos Sfetsas Greek Fusion Orchestra, and guitar player of Blues Cargo the most popular blues band in Athens Greece.
